Russell Wilson Rewards Each Of His Offensive Linemen A $12,000 Amazon Stock Investment

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson knows what it’s like to get paid. After his record breaking, four-year, $140 million contract, Wilson decided to give back to his offense in a big way.

Wilson rewarded 13 of his offensive linemen each with a $12,000 Amazon stock. TMZ and ESPN reported that Wilson wrote letters to the recipients with their gifts.

“Every Sunday we go to battle together,” Wilson wrote in the letter. “You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family. This does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten.”

Ironically for Wilson, his offensive line gave up a career-high 51 times last season. Wilson also had a career-high 35 touchdowns last season.

“When I sat down to think of ways to honor your dedication, a dozen different ideas came to mind,” Wilson told his teammates in the TMZ and ESPN reported letter Wilson sent. “Some were flashy, some were cool, but I wanted to give you something that had a lasting impact. Something that would affect the lives of you, your family, and your children.”

Wilson, the five-time pro bowler, is entering his eighth season for the Seahawks. The 30-year-old, threw 65.5% last year, for over 3,400 yards.

The Seahawks will play their first regular season game on Sept. 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“One of the ways I prepare is by investing in companies and ideas that I believe will grow and change the world,” Wilson wrote according to TMZ and ESPN. “One of these companies is Amazon.”

Wilson’s attitude is just one of the many reasons he earned that record-breaking contract. His dedication to his development has shown significant improvement over the years. The former super bowl champion isn’t done yet.
