Indianapolis Colts receiver Keenan Allen was arrested after being suspected of driving under the influence.
Allen recently signed with the Colts during the preseason and played in their preseason finale.
Last weekend around 1 a.m., the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department pulled Allen over, saying his car was stopped in a no-parking zone on an Indianapolis roadway.
During the traffic stop, the cops said in a statement to the Post that Allen was showing signs of being impaired. They then took him into custody for further investigation.

The 34-year-old’s jail records show that he was booked for two misdemeanor charges, one count of DWI/DUI/OWI-endanger person and one count of DWI/DUI/OWI-ACE .08 or more.
“An arrest and a charge are merely accusations; Allen should be considered innocent unless and until found guilty in court. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision,” the IMPD said in a statement.
Allen, who was previously with the Los Angeles Chargers last season, signed a one-year contract with the Colts last month.
Under the NFL substance Abuse policy, Allen could face a three-game suspension without pay for a first-time offense.
Allen has not spoken to the media yet about his recent arrest.
The Colts said in a statement Sunday they were “aware of the incident involving Keenan Allen” and “are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”
“I’m not going to comment on what happened,” Colts General Manager Chris Ballard said. “But what I am going to tell you is, you know, good people make mistakes, and he’s a tremendous human being. Give him some grace, and he’ll work through the process of the legal system.”
Billard added, “I think over time, he will prove to y’all in this city who he is, and I think he’ll do that in a short amount of time.”
Billard believes that Allen will play in their season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sep 13.
