The Boston Red Sox will visit the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night for the second game of a three-game series, and here is what you need to know.
The Red Sox (45-22, second in AL East) won the opening contest 2-0 on Monday. Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (7-1, 3.68 ERA) will face righty David Hess (2-2, 3.07 ERA) in Tuesday’s matchup, which begins at 7:05pm EST and will air on NESN.
The Orioles (19-46) are at the bottom of the AL East and have lost five straight games. Boston has lost three of five, although they are no games behind the New York Yankees (42-19), who along with the Red Sox currently share the best record in MLB.
The Red Sox have scored 10 runs in their last five games and hit .183. The Orioles have scored 11 runs in their last five games and hit .179.
