Real Madrid And Paris Saint-Germain Face Off In Scoreless Game In Paris

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain ended a game in a scoreless tie Wednesday when they matched up at the Parc des Princes in Paris. The two major European teams are now tied on seven points and at the top of Group A at the halfway point of the group stage during the UEFA Champions League.

A spectator also ran past the cordon of security stewards late in the second half and dashed towards Real Madrid’s top scorer, Christiano Ronaldo, amidst the rain that filled the stadium.

PSG power forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a difficult night during which he struggled to break past Real Madrid defenders Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane. Ibrahimovic has never won the European Cup, and there is speculation that he may soon leave the Champions league stage, possibly at the end of this season.

Roughly ten minutes before the end of the first half, Ronaldo almost had a header goal scoring opportunity after defenseman Marcelo sent him a cross, but German PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp knocked it out for a corner kick. Marcelo had a great first half, although neither Ronaldo nor Casemiro were able to capitalize on his crosses to score.

The home team, PSG, began the second half strong: Motta crossed from the left and Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani met the ball with a volley that whizzed right next to Keylor Navas’ goal.

Reald Madrid midfielder Luka Modric then came on for Isco late in the second half, and after playing to Danillo on the right, he then looked to Marcelo, but he pulled the shot across the front of Trapp’s goal, thus leaving the final score at 0-0.
