Ravens’ Star Calais Campbell’s Brother Charged With Killing Their Mom

Baltimore Ravens‘ star Calais Campbell’s brother, Ciarre Campbell, has been charged with murdering their mother, Nateal Campbell, in Atlanta.

The NFL community is rallying behind Campbell after his mother’s death, a case that has sent shockwaves through the football world and the Campbell family.

According to Atlanta police, officers responded last week to a welfare check at a townhouse in the city’s Buckhead neighborhood. Inside, they discovered 71-year-old Nateal dead and found Campbell’s brother, Ciarre, barricaded inside. He was taken into custody and has since been charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.

Investigators say the case remains active, and authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of Nateal’s death.

The Ravens, whom Campbell rejoined earlier this offseason, released a statement expressing condolences and support for Campbell and his family, calling the situation an unimaginable tragedy. Players and coaches across the NFL also shared messages on social media throughout the day.

Campbell has built a reputation as one of the NFL’s most respected leaders over his 19-year career. A six-time Pro Bowl selection and former Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, he is recognized for his community service and leadership on and off the field.
