6. Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons
Despite missing a game and putting up a big fat bagel in Week 4, Ridley managed to finish as the fifth-best wideout in fantasy football. In his third season with the Falcons, he finally surpassed future Fall of Fame wide receiver Julio Jones as Matt Ryan’s top target. In 15 games, the former first-round pick out of Alabama hauled in 90 receptions on 143 targets for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns. He averaged 18.8 fantasy points per contest.
Ridley began the year on a ridiculous pace. He secured 16 receptions for 239 yards and four touchdowns over the first two games of the season. There was no way he was going to continue to score at that rate, but he did continue to catch plenty of balls for large sums of yardage in Atlanta’s pass-heavy attack.
The Falcons are expected to struggle yet again in 2021. They have a horrible defense, and Todd Gurley clearly isn’t what he used to be out of the backfield. A bad defense and a poor running game equates to tons of opportunities in the passing game. Look for Ridley to build off of his breakout season. He is the top fantasy option in Atlanta.
