8. Robert Tonyan, Green Bay Packers
Tonyan was a huge surprise at the tight end position in 2020. Heading into last season, most fantasy owners hadn’t even heard of No. 85 on the Packers. Fortunately, Tonyan showed off his skills, finishing as the fourth-best tight end in fantasy. Tonyan caught a ridiculous 52 of 59 passes thrown his way, finishing with 586 receiving yards and a position-leading 11 touchdowns.
Although the Packers have a very solid offense and won’t need to light up the scoreboard each week to have a winning record, the fourth-year tight end has earned a significant role in Aaron Rodgers’ offense. Between Tonyan and Davante Adams, the Green Bay Packers are going to be just fine in 2021. Tonyan’s 75 % contested catch rate doesn’t hurt his prognosis either. When Rodgers throws it to his tight end, Tonyan tends to make the play.
