After starting the season with three straight losses, things have turned around for the Indianapolis Pacers. They have won nine of their last 11 games and Paul George made a statement to the league on Tuesday night by dropping 40 on the Washington Wizards in a 123-106 win.
“We always get overlooked,” George said. “We’re still getting used to the system, but now we’re flowing.”
The Pacers were buoyed by an impressive 73.1% conversion rate from three point range. George himself hit seven of his eight shots from behind the arc. “First time I’ve seen something like that,” he said with a smile when asked about his team’s shooting success.
He was also helped by C.J Miles, who added 32 points of his own while making eight three pointers. It was his highest point total since joining the Pacers during this past offseason. After playing 14 games together, he and George are starting to develop into a dangerous duo.

We’ve been talking about making people try and pick their poison,” Miles said about their partnership. “There’s a lot of space out there when he does what he does. I just try and move in the gaps and find spaces and be aggressive when I get my chances.”
Indianapolis will look to continue their hot streak on Friday when they host the Chicago Bulls.
