A crucial part of the New England Patriots offensive line has been lost due to injury, leaving quarterback Tom Brady vulnerable for sacks from future defenses. This is because offensive lineman Nate Solder has been ruled out for the season with torn biceps and will need surgery to repair the injury.
Solder does not know when the the injury exactly happened but during the second quarter at last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, he was shown gripping his right arm after a play before halftime. “It’s too hard to tell. We’re just going to roll forward and see what happens,” he said, waving off getting into specifics about the arm.
Solder is a team captain and was drafted in the first round by the Patriots out of the University of Colorado and was given a two-year contract extension before the beginning of the season.
Despite this big blow to the offensive line, the rest of the offense has been plentiful ranking first in the NFL averaging 37.25 points per game with Brady having the highest passing rating with 121.5.
