Steelers Sign Former Bears’ Safety Jaquan Brisker

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing former Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker as they continue to add pieces. Brisker, 26, is a Penn State alum and will be returning home to Pennsylvania to play for the Steelers.

The former Nittany Lion is signing a one-year, $5.5 million deal with his hometown team. Brisker was drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Brisker started all 17 games for the Bears last season and has been a staple of that defense ever since he was drafted. He will now join a secondary that includes Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean, DeShon Elliott, and Jalen Ramsey.

The Steelers have one of the best secondaries in football following the Brisker signing, and this will allow him to go downhill and be the hard-hitting tackler that he is known to be.

Brisker joins newly acquired wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. as new Steelers player, as they could look completely different next year, depending on whether or not Aaron Rodgers comes back to play for them.
