On Sunday, it was reported that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams would not be playing in his teams’ Monday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Adams, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury suffered in week two, was not happy about this decision and made that clear in a now-deleted tweet. “Sorry fans and friends I won’t be on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I need to do and proved I’m ready but I guess I don’t know my body as well as others. Good luck out there my boys,” Adams said.
The Packers are known for their stars being generally grumpy people. They went from Brett Farve, whose reputation speaks for itself, to Aaron Rogers, who will make some of the best throws you’ll ever see but when the camera pans to his face he looks like he’s a robot who hasn’t been booted up yet. Adams seems to be among these grumpy-stars, and it is understandable. While talking to reporters he has been adamant that he is healthy and that he was a game-time decision before his week two matchup. “That was the plan all week long was to get a good feel to see how I felt come pregame, just to give me all the time I needed, and came to the conclusion that I wasn’t quite ready yet,” Adams said last week. “It was close. I felt good, but I wanted to be as smart as possible, so we decided to hold off on that.”
Adams came out of the gate blazing in week one catching 14 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions, and it is understandable that he would want to continue that momentum and not risk getting rusty against after a strange offseason.

This is a big blow to Adams’s fantasy owners since he is almost guaranteed to see ten targets a game, especially the late nature of this scratch, but if you have Aaron Jones or picked up any of the Packers lesser receivers in preparation of this, then you’re feeling pretty good right now.
