The Green Bay Packers will be rocking old-school 1950s style uniforms this season as their alternate uniform, replacing the navy and gold throwback. The new uniform, designed to pay homage to the one worn by the team from 1950 to 1953, will be debuted on October 24th at Lambeau Field against the Washington Football Team.
The new all-green uniforms will feature the Packers’ traditional Kelly green color, with gold numbers and stripes, similar to the jerseys worn in the 1950s, with matching green pants with gold stripes and green socks.
“With the NFL growing rapidly, this time period set the stage for the construction of Lambeau Field and for the team’s success in the 1960s and beyond,” Packers President Mark Murphy said. “We hope our fans enjoy celebrating our history with this new alternate uniform.”
