An Indiana Pacers fan has been charged after allegedly stabbing a New York Knicks fan at a game two watch party in Indianapolis.
Jarrett Funke, 24, has been charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness and battery by the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, according to court documents.
The incident reportedly started when Funke was harassing two Knicks fans, challenging them to a fight. Police at the bar, Danny Boy Beer Works, told Funke and his family to leave.
After Funke was escorted out, the two Knicks fans stepped onto the patio to smoke. Funke allegedly returned and continued harassing them, to which one of the Knicks fans briefly pulled out his pocket knife.

Funke lunged at the man and stabbed him in the back with his own knife, according to court documents. Funke attempted to flee but was stopped in the parking lot by police.
Following interviews with witnesses, investigators concluded that Funke was the aggressor in the situation. Patrons feared the man who was stabbed might die.
Funke is being held at the Hamilton County Jail and was denied bond last week.
The victim reportedly is suffering from a torn lung.
