The Ottawa Senators have hired Jim Little as the chief executive officer on Friday, hoping for a boost both on and off the ice. The struggling franchise is tied for the second fewest points in the league and is in desperate need for a momentum change.

Owner Eugene Melnyk had been the CEO of the Senators since the split with Tom Anselmi in February 2018.
Little has a history of senior executive roles, with his latest being executive vice president and chief marketing and culture officer for Shaw Communications, a Canadian telecommunications company. He has also held senior roles at Royal Bank, Bell Canada and Bombardier, a Canadian transportation company.
