Odell Beckham Jr. And Rob Gronkowski Announced As Madden Cover Finalists

The Madden cover vote has become a yearly tradition for sports and video game fans. Last year saw a battle between motor mouth cornerback Richard Sherman and Panthers QB Cam Newton, with Seattle’s mad man winning.

And the previous year did not disappoint either, as present day legend Adrian Peterson went against past legend Barry Sanders, with the old-school back winning.

Now, instead of having an entire bracket of players for Madden 16’s vote, EA Sports initially limited the choices to four: Patrick Peterson, Odell Beckham Jr., Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown.

Today, EA Sports announced the finalists: Gronk versus Beckham.

Now, voting begins tomorrow 9 am EST and will end with Sportscenter announcing the winner at 6 pm EST.

As for who should win, this is a hard decision. Odell had arguably the greatest rookie receiver season ever with 1,305 yards, 91 receptions and 12 touchdowns in only 12 games — imagine if he had an entire season. On top of this, he became the Giants first rookie of the year award winner and can anyone forget the catch?

On the other hand, Gronkowski had arguably the greatest comeback season of all-time. After various ailments — including back, wrist and knee injuries/surgeries — he bounced back with 82 receptions, 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games, which was topped off with his first Super Bowl ring.

So this is a tough call. But if you already know your choice, vote here tomorrow.

On a side note, for the sake of both players, lets hope the Madden curse does not exist.
