Looking ahead, the Wildcard Round is shaping up to be intense.

The Bills will face the Texans as they seek their first postseason victory since 1995. Houston won the AFC South for the fourth time in five years, but lost to the Titans to end the regular season. Depending on the outcome of this game, the winner could face either the Ravens or the Chiefs.

Having lost to Miami at home, the New England Patriots find themselves in an unfamiliar position of the Wild Card Round, something they haven’t faced since 2009. The Patriots have won at least one playoff game since 2011.

As for the Titans, they look to upset the Patriots in their first meeting of the season. After bouncing back from two straight losses, they beat the Texans on the road to earn a postseason spot.

If the Titans win, they will face Baltimore, and if the Patriots win, a rematch against Kansas City is set to occur.

As for the NFC, the Vikings will take on the Saints, who ended up on the wrong end of a tiebreaker having won a conference-high 13 games during the regular season. The Vikings, having already secured the No. 6 seed, were able to rest some starters and could shape up to be competitive against the Saints.

If Minnesota wins, they will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers. But if the Saints emerge victorious, they will head to Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

In a battle of the birds, the Seattle Seahawks will face the Philadelphia Eagles. Seattle, who won 11 games during the regular season, only ends up a wild card team after losing three of its last four games. The Seahawks look to get their first playoff win since the 2016 season.

Finishing the season with four straight wins, the Eagles recovered from a 5-7 record in Week 13 to give themselves a playoff berth for the third straight year.

The winner will face either San Francisco or Green Bay depending on the outcome of the NFC wild-card matchup.
