NFL Players Like Eli Manning, Patrick Peterson Weigh In On Tom Brady’s Suspension

After last week’s Ted Wells report, it was only a matter of time before Roger Goodell handed down his sentence. And whether it was his way to save face or show that there is zero special treatment for the Pats, he handed down a ridiculously harsh punishment to Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champions: four-game suspension, $1 million fine and loss of two draft picks — first in 2016 and fourth in 2017.

Now my opinion on how this is the dumbest controversy in the history of sports aside, the players had a mixed reaction to this ruling. Some were happy calling the Pats cheaters, but a lot did not like the precedent that was now established.

Needless to say, players hit on both ends of the spectrum.

In the end, Brady has until Thursday to appeal, which he will likely do. So it is safe to say that this deflate-gate saga is far from over.
