Mayfield, a former Oklahoma standout, was projected to be taken by the Browns earlier this week. The QB reportedly recorded his experience being drafted live on Instagram.

Evidently, fans had much to say about Mayfield being chosen first. The QB joins a franchise that has struggled for several years, and that finished without a single victory (0-16) in 2017. At Oklahoma, Mayfield was the all-time Big 12 leader in yards per attempt and consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
The Browns also took Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick.
