Evidently, fans had much to say about Mayfield being chosen first. The QB joins a franchise that has struggled for several years, and that finished without a single victory (0-16) in 2017. At Oklahoma, Mayfield was the all-time Big 12 leader in yards per attempt and consecutive games with a touchdown pass.

The Browns also took Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick.
