New Police Video Shows Paige Bueckers With Taser Aimed At Her Face

WNBA star Paige Bueckers had a taser pointed at her face during her teammate’s arrest earlier this year.

Dallas Wings Champion Arike Ogunbowale was arrested in March for a nightclub incident in Miami that included a physical altercation.

Ogunbowale was reportedly kicked out after she punched a staffer in the face.

The celebration got interrupted when Ogunbowale was taken into custody and released on $1000 bond, and at the time, not much came of it. She was said to be “home safely,” and she played throughout the 2026 season following her arrest.

A new video now shows her teammate and superstar Bueckers with a taser pointed at her during the incident. In the video, the guard proclaimed, “We got her, we got her,” when police asked her to “let her go.”

The taser was then pointed at Bueckers, and the police told her, “I will,” as a threat if she did not back away.

Maria Clifton, a DJ and host, was there during the situation, shouting at the police not to put handcuffs on Ogunbowale because “she’s a champion.”

Ogunbowale’s misdemeanor was dropped in May, and this is the first time since the incident that the video was released showing Buecker’s involvement or presence. The body cam footage showed the tense moments that went unreported at the time.
