Utah State isn’t really known for their basketball team. However, the team pulled off an 81-76 upset over No. 12 Nevada. The fans erupted and quickly stormed the court. Nevada couldn’t handle this. The No. 12 team, who’s sure to take a beating in the polls this week, went into a meltdown.
A video captured by KUTV reporter Jake Edmonds shows Wolf Pack senior Jordan Caroline punching out the glass covering a fire extinguisher. After doing this, Caroline yelled out, “F—k that! Run my s—t, b—! I’m right here n—a!” Most reports presumed that someone from Utah was at the end of the tunnel. Teammates and staff then went and moved Caroline down the hall to prevent further conflict.
After the cameras got a look at the fire extinguisher, they found Nevada coaches in an argument with police. They complained about fans rushing the court, making contact with the players and hurling profanities at them. Police continued to usher the crowd down the hall. One of the staff members then exclaimed, “That’s unacceptable on your guys’ part. That’s your assistant coach!” Then a Nevada staffer turns to cops and shouts, “They’re touching our fucking players, and you’re not going to do shit about it? You watched it happen! You watched it happen!”
