Missouri Women’s Basketball Team Ranked For The First Time Since 2006
Normally being 25th in the AP College basketball poll isn’t something to celebrate. But for the Missouri women’s basketball program, it’s an accomplishment. The Tigers re-entered the rankings this week, where they haven’t been since January 2006.
“I think it’s important you celebrate the mini victories,” coach Robin Pingeton told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “It’s all part of the process. We worked really hard I think over last several years, to have a chance to make history this year. Going (11-0) in the non-con, that was one of the milestones we celebrated. We weren’t satisfied. It’s about big picture, not one week, not 10 weeks, we know what it looks like.”
