Minnesota Vikings‘ running back Dalvin Cook was helped off the field during their Sunday game against the Carolina Panthers.
The star running back suffered an injury during the third quarter after fumbling a carry. Cook was brought down while carrying the ball by Carolina defenders. Carolina was able to score off the fumble. After the play ended, Cook was seen on the ground unable to get up. He was unable to place any pressure on his right ankle and had to be helped off the field.
It was a scary moment for Minnesota fans as they almost lost their star running back. Cook was helped to the medical tent. Luckily, after a while, he was seen out of the blue tent, jogging and doing light cutting exercises. This hinted that he was ready for a return, which he did as he entered the game after two drives.
Cook later re-entered the game as the Vikings made a comeback to win 28-27. Before Cook left the game, he had 13 carries for 37 yards. Cook would add five more carries and 24 more yards as he finished the game with 18 carries for 61 yards. Minnesota outscored Carolina 18-6 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback win.
