The New York Mets announced Monday that Scott Havens has been hired as president of business operations.
Havens was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Bloomberg Media and will run the baseball team’s business strategy.
“Bringing someone on board of Scott’s caliber is an exciting development for the Mets organization. Scott has vast experience leading world-class media and digital technology-led companies such as Bloomberg Media and Time Inc. and he’ll provide a modern vision and strategic direction for our organization.” Mets owners Steve and Alex Cohen said.
Havens is credited with playing a large role in Bloomberg’s digital transformation. He helped Bloomberg set revenue and audience highs.

This will be Haven’s first go into the business side of baseball. He has previously worked at Time Inc., The Atlantic and Condé Nast Business Media.
