Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is fighting a left high ankle sprain that is expected to sideline him for the team’s next two games, but still raises questions, according to an ESPN source.
Ansah underwent an MRI on his ankle last week and will pursue a second opinion, which will not be given until Tuesday, per the source.
For now, the Lions do not think the injury will sideline Ansash more than the next couple of games, but the final doctor’s opinions are not in, and the Lions still need to see how quickly he can bounce back.
Ansah, a key component to Detroit’s defense, was officially ruled out Friday for the Lions’ game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
