LeSean McCoy Investigated For Assault Of Off Duty Officers
Buffalo Bills’ running back LeSean McCoy is among four suspects being investigated for assaulting two off-duty Philadelphia police officers.
According to multiple reports, the fight occurred inside the Recess nightclub in the Old City neighborhood, after there was a dispute over the ownership of a champagne bottle. Police said “pushing and shoving” over the bottle led to one of the off-duty officers being knocked to the ground, and while he was on the ground, he was “punched, kicked and stomped about his body and head multiple times by all four suspects.”
Police have not officially named any suspects in the case but a man close to the investigation told ESPN’s Mark Schwarz, that McCoy was under investigation and arrest warrants are expected to be coming in the next few days.

According to CSNPhilly.com, there were three off-duty officers involved in the altercation, Roland Butler, Darnell Jessie and Sergeant Daniel Ayres.
When speaking to Outside The Lines on Monday, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Force 5, John McNesby, shared details of the extend of the damage cause by the incident. “This was an all-out beatdown with broken bones and serious injuries. These officers are hurting. They’re in pain. These are serious injuries,” McNesby said. “From what I’m hearing, they were defending themselves. They were not the instigators.”
CSNPhilly also reported that the other three suspects are Curtis Brinkley, a former NFL running back, one of McCoy’s teammates at the University of Pittsburgh, Tamarcus Porter and Christopher Henderson.
The Bills said that they are aware of the situation and are gathering information.
