Lebron James To Pay College Tuition For Qualified Students, Says He Would Beat Michael Jordan 1-On-1

LeBron James is always happy to give back to his hometown, but that happiness may have evaporated when he heard that Jordan said he could beat him one on one.

James via his charity, the LeBron James Family Foundation, has recently announced that he will send qualifying students from his hometown of Akron, Ohio, to college on four-year, academic scholarships. The foundation is already helping students in third through seventh grade, and will now help those wanting to attend college by covering tuition at the University of Akron, whose tuition is $9,500.

When asked why he gives back so much to his community, James explains that, “These kids are everything…At this rate, we’ve got 1,100 kids in our program, and if I can put 1,100 kids into college free, that means I’ll have done something, (and) the University of Akron, JPMorgan and Chase and my foundation have done something great to give back.”

But as soon as the topic changed to Michael Jordan’s statement about one on one basketball, where he said that there would be “no question” that Jordan would win in his prime, James has no hesitation in his response. When he was asked who would win, the two time NBA champion and four time MVP said that, “Oh, I take myself, for sure. I mean, I’m gonna take myself versus anybody. I’ll tell you one thing — they’re gonna have to have a few wheelchairs and a couple ambulances there to get us off the floor.”

But now the question is, who will star in the better movie? James has recently showed off his acting skills as a supporting role in the romantic comedy, “Trainwreck.” After pursuing a partnership with Warner Brothers, James said that he would like to continue his work in acting after his basketball career is over.

But it’s going to be hard to beat the original Space Jam, because everyone know, the old cartoons will always be better.
