LeBron & Bronny James Connect On First Ever Son-To-Father Assist

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the most accomplished players in NBA history and has almost every single record and accolade, but one of his proudest moments came on a random Thursday game when he caught a pass from his own son, Bronny James, resulting in the first-ever son-to-father assist in NBA history.

Due to injuries to Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, LeBron and Bronny have had the opportunity to share the court with each other in expanded roles as the regular season winds down, as they showed on Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors.

With 51 seconds left in the first quarter, Bronny stole the ball from the Warriors and threw it up the court to his dad, who finished the fastbreak sequence with a classic LeBron dunk, stamping the moment forever in the James household and in NBA history.

The father and son duo completed a similar achievement on March 27, completing the first-ever father-to-son assist in NBA history.

The Lakers would go on to win the game 119-103, picking up a huge win with just two regular-season games remaining.

LeBron, 41, had a vintage performance, leading the way with 26 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, proving he can still play the role of a number one option. Bronny added 10 points, three assists, and two steals in one of his most productive games of the season.

The Lakers will end the season against the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz, as they are still in contention for the three seed in the Western Conference. It is still unclear when Doncic and Reaves will return to the Lakers, but the expectation is that the pair will be out for at least the first round of the playoffs.
