Lance Dunbar Possibly Out For The Rest Of The Season

Another huge blow has come in terms of injuries to an already beat up Dallas Cowboys team. After losing quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant to injuries in past games this year, another injury happened in last night’s Sunday primetime game against the New Orleans Saints to the backfield, with running back Lance Dunbar suffering a fatal left knee injury that saw him being carted off after the opening kickoff of the second half.

This is another injury that the Cowboys have endured in recent weeks with not only Romo and Bryant being sidelined but outside linebacker Sean Lee leaving the game last night with a concussion. There is no official word yet on Dunbar but he was spotted in the locker room with crutches and a knee brace following the game. Remaining running backs include Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden but losing Dunbar will be a huge loss for the Cowboys’ offense.

An upside to these devastating news is that the defense will see defensive end Greg Hardy and linebacker Rolando McClain coming back from serving their respective suspensions with the NFL. The Cowboys face the New England Patriots next week at 4:25 p.m. so a new game plan will need to be in effect if they are to come out victorious.
