Kansas City will host a parade on Tuesday following the Royals’ 7-2 World Series final victory over the Mets at their very own Citi Field in New York on Sunday.

The city has stated that the parade will begin at noon CT, and will be followed by a victory rally at 2p.m. In addition to being aired on Fox 4 and Fox Sports Kansas City, KMBC.com will also live-stream the event. The Kansas City Star’s Jeff Rosen also tweeted out a picture of the 2.3-mile long route for the parade.

Even former Royals third baseman and designated hitter George Brett, who led the Royals to their last championship in 1985, stated, when asked to compare his team to the current one: “They’re better than we were,” he revealed this to the Star’s Sam Mellinger early Monday morning.

The team’s manager, Ned Yost, commented, “I’m going to go get a cheeseburger” to another Star employee, when asked how he planned to celebrate the victory.

The Royals won the series 4-1. The Mets won their one and only game of the series at home 3-9 on Friday. The final received great ratings, as Pete Grathoff of the Kansas City Star announced in a tweet:
