Josh Allen Content With His $43 Million Annual Salary Amid Soaring QB Paydays

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, currently ranked 13th in annual salary among NFL quarterbacks, has not been fazed by recent major paydays won by his peers.

“Listen, everyone’s gonna have their day,” Allen told CBS Sports. “I’m happy everyone’s getting what they’re worth. I’ve got no problem with where I’m at right now.”

Allen, who signed a six-year, $258 million contract extension in August 2021, was one of the highest-paid quarterbacks at the time. With the rapidly escalating market, other quarterbacks, like Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa, have recently secured lucrative deals. Tagovailoa earns $50 million annually compared to Allen’s $43 million.

At 28 years old, Allen says he can wait for contract adjustments, especially given his projected market value of $60 million annually. He remains focused on leading the Bills to their first Super Bowl title, emphasizing that his primary concern is performing at his best on the field.

“I had my day a couple of years ago, and I’m sure someday, I’ll have it again,” Allen said. “But I think the main thing is the main thing, and that’s playing football to the best of my ability, and everything else will take care of itself.”
