NASSAU, BAHAMAS - DECEMBER 02: Tiger Woods of the United States hits his shot on the second tee during round two of the Hero World Challenge at Albany, The Bahamas on December 2, 2016 in Nassau, Bahamas.
Tiger Woods may have struggled at the Players Championship in Florida on Sunday, having finished tied for 11th after shooting a 69 in the final round, but he still believes he could return to his previous form soon and Jordan Spieth agrees.
“He’ll win sometime soon enough,” Spieth told ESPN. The youngster tied for 41st after shooting a last-round 74 that included an 8 on the final hole. “He’s certainly playing well enough to do so. All in all, I think he played like a 5- or 6-under round, almost shot 7 or 8 and ended up with 3.”
According to ESPN, Woods will take a two-week break and will likely return for The Memorial Tournament, which will take place from May 31 to June 3. Woods, 42, has won that event five times but has not participated in it in three years. He is ranked 80th in the world.
