Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts says he’s not too worried about recent rumors of frustration within the team with his performances.
The Eagles lead the NFC East division with an 8-2 record as November comes to a close. However, Nick Sirianni‘s side has recently struggled on offense, scoring just 26 points and two touchdowns in victories over the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
The team is averaging 300.1 total yards per game, ranking 25th in the league. Philadelphia also sits in the bottom five in the NFL in terms of passing yards per game, posting 184.9 yards per game.
Last week, Diana Russini from The Athletic reported lingering discontent within the Eagles camp regarding Hurts’ performances. The report said offensive players were irritated by the quarterback’s passing in tight windows and handling of zone coverage.

“I guess I get a lot of attention when things are going well and when things are not going so well,” Hurts said on Wednesday. “I never run away from holding myself accountable, and I think that’s exactly what I’ve taken the approach of doing.”
The Super Bowl LIX MVP is averaging a 66.9% completion rate in 2025, which is slightly below his 2024 average in the regular season (68.7%). As a team, the Eagles’ rushing offense has slumped this season, rushing 115.2 yards per game. It’s a far cry from their 2024 average (179.3 per game), which ranked second in the league.
Despite the recent struggles, Hurts is not surprised by the outside noise and remains focused on the team.
“This is kind of the nature of the position,” he said. “But I put my energy and my focus on trying to go out there and do my best and trying to learn, trying to build, trying to take in the things that I can try and improve.”
Hurts and the Eagles will face their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, on Sunday afternoon in Texas.
