Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson still hasn’t directly stated whether the team will release troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel next month, only that the official announcement will come soon.
However, Jackson did state at the NFL scouting combine Wednesday that the Browns intend to take a stand and show that Manziel’s behavior won’t be tolerated going forward.
Manziel has been part of an ongoing Dallas Police investigation into a domestic violence allegation involving his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley.
“I want to make sure we all understand that that behavior will not be tolerated as we move forward, and that’s all I want to say about it,” Jackson stated about Manziel. “Our organization is going to take a stand, and we’re going to move on from those kind of situations as we move forward.”

The team can’t actually release Manziel, 23, until the new league year begins March 9 due to salary cap reasons.
Dallas Police have said that their investigation into the alleged incident from Jan. 30 is ongoing.
