Houston Texans QB Brian Hoyer Suffers Concussion
Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer reportedly suffered yet another concussion during Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots, which the Texans lost. This marks Hoyer’s second head injury in less than a month, since he also suffered a concussion during a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10, which caused him to miss the game against the New York Jets the following week on Nov. 22.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that the Texans are preparing backup QB TJ Yates so that he may start next weekend.
Sunday night, Hoyer was sacked five times by the Patriots defense and was forced to meet with the training staff on the sideline multiple times. The Texans (6-7) will next visit the Indianapolis Colts (6-7) on Sunday.
