Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball was helped off the court after an awkward ground landing during a game against the Orlando Magic.
The incident occurred right before halftime when Ball went for a layup against Paolo Banchero.
After Ball came back up, he was helped to the locker room by staff.

The Hornets later confirmed that Ball had a right ankle strain and wouldn’t return to the game. The Hornets ended up losing to the Magic 130-117.
Prior to the injury, Ball was averaging 32 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the previous nine games before the Orlando Magic game. Despite this, the Hornets are 5-10, making them 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
