The Haitian National Team has qualified for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada, but the U.S. has a travel bans against the island nation.

Haiti qualified for the first time since 1974

According to the White House, Haitian soccer fans will not receive any notable exceptions that would allow them to enter the United States.

This comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order in June stating that the restriction of these foreign nationals will be in place to protect the United States from public safety threats.

Haiti joins Iran as the second country to qualify for the World Cup, where fans are banned from entering.

Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, had previously stated that “fans from all over the world will be welcome.”

The State Department mentioned that fans may submit visa applications and schedule interviews to attend the games.

The State Department said, “Fans may be ineligible for visa issuance or admission to the United States.”

Specific match days and locations will be drawn on December 5, in Washington, D.C.
