The brother of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins on Wednesday was charged with aggravated manslaughter after a dead body was discovered at the NFL star’s home in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
William Jenkins was arrested for killing Roosevelt Rene, a 25-year-old friend of the former’s family who he Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated had been residing at the house. Rene’s body was found on Tuesday and a homicide investigation was quickly opened. The cornerback’s brother was named as a person of interest in the case early on Wednesday. The prosecutor’s office stressed that Williams Jenkins remains purely accused, and is “presumed innocent” until proven guilty.
