Gabby Douglas seems like an obvious choice to help judge Miss America. Her sport requires amazing showmanship, precision and poise.  The Rio 2016 gold medalist has been asked to be a part of the celebrity judges panel for the 2017 Miss America pageant in Atlantic City this September.

Douglas will head straight to New Jersey for the final round of competition that will be broadcast September 11th at 9:00 pm EST on ABC.

According to USA Today Douglas was honored to be asked, and looks forward to learning about the girls. “Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year,” Douglas said. “The contestants are a great example of strong women across the USA and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent!”

Chris Harrison hosts The Bachelor and Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and will co-host the 96th annual competition. ESPN host of Mike & Mike In The Morning and SportsNationSage Steele, will also co-host the competition with Harrison.
