Caption:LAS VEGAS, NV - SEPTEMBER 12: Andre Berto (L) and Floyd Mayweather Jr. battle in the 11th round of their WBC/WBA welterweight title fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena on September 12, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mayweather retained his titles with a unanimous-decision victory.
While Floyd Mayweather Jr. has said he enjoys retirement and doesn’t miss boxing, there have been some hints at a possible comeback for a 50th fight.
During an interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray, Mayweather confirmed that he has had discussions with both HBO and CBS saying, “You never know.”
Fight No. 50 wouldn’t come cheap for Mayweather (49-0). In the interview with Gray he said his payday would have to be, “upwards of nine figures.”
Clearly Mayweather would be looking for a payout similar to his fight with Manny Pacquiao (58-6-2), where he made more than $200M. Pacquiao said after his fight with Timothy Bradley on April 9, that “I am retired.”

Barring both Mayweather and Pacquiao coming out of retirement for a rematch of an over hyped dud of a fight with both fighters past their primes, there are a few possible opponents for Pretty Boy Floyd.
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (46-1-1) has fought Mayweather once before. That was two years ago and Alvarez has matured since their last bout, which Mayweather won on a majority decision.
Amir Khan (31-3) has publicly asked for a fight against Mayweather, and thinks the retired champ is scared of him because of Khan’s hand speed. Khan and Alvarez will fight this Saturday, May 7.
Miguel Cotto (40-5) is another option. After his first fight with Mayweather, which was a unanimous decision in the latter’s favor, mayweather told him, “You are a hell of champion – The toughest guy I fought.”
Of course all the possible opponents don’t mean anything until Mayweather confirms a 50th fight. His company has filed trademarks for “TMT 50” and “TBE 50”. TMT stands for The Money Team, Mayweather’s brand, while TBE stands for The Best Ever, a moniker commonly used by Mayweather to refer to himself.
