After being cut from the Ravens in August following an alleged physical altercation with another player, former all-pro Earl Thomas is likely going to sign with the Houston Texans according to Adam Schefter. Thomas has had personal issues and team issues in the past, being known as a troublesome player, and it is telling that it took until week four for a team to sign him when Thomas’ talent is well established.
This would be a boost to the Texans who have felt injuries in their secondary and already have a thin roster with Bill O’Brien’s questionable decision-making. This won’t put them over the top but if they can collect other players with Thomas’ skill level and pedigree, the Texans may eventually be able to live up to the championship window that a quarterback like Deshaun Watson should provide them.
