Houston we have a problem, or rather Houston gave us a problem. That’s probably what Washington Redskins were thinking as star wide receiver DeSean Jackson sprained the AC joint in his right shoulder after the first round of 1 on 1 drills against the Houston Texans.
Jackson is expected to miss one or two weeks of play due after landing on his shoulder, but if last season is any indicator of how he’ll do, remember that that he did the same to his left shoulder in week two and didn’t’ miss any games. Cornerbacks DeAngelo Hall and Chris Culliver are listed as day-to-days due to groin injuries, and safety Jeron Johnson as well as linebacker Trevardo Williams both have strained hamstrings. And don’t forget Safety Akeem Davis, who recently had surgery on his fractured left thumb.
So maybe instead of practicing on the field, Washington should focus on practicing in the hospital.
