As of noon on Day 14 of the 2016 Rio Olympics (Aug. 19), The United States continues to dominate, boasting a stunning 100 medals (35 gold, 33 silver, 32 bronze) in total to lead the standings. In the London 2012 Olympics, Team USA finished first with 103 medals.
Will they match or even surpass that number this year? We will find out soon enough.
China and Great Britain, meanwhile, follow behind at second and third respectively, with 59 (20 gold) and 56 (22 gold) medals respectively.
Rounding out the top 10 are Russia (46), Japan (38), France (34), Germany (33), Australia (28), Italy (24) and Canada (19).
