Anthony Rizzo recently made a pair of Chicago Cubs fans very happy.
The 26-year-old Cubs first baseman showed up at the Fanatics memorabilia show in Chicago on Saturday and helped fan Steve Milsap propose to his girlfriend, Leslie.
Rizzo posed for a photo with the family before setting Steve up to pop the question. Before Steve could even get a chance to finish, Leslie said yes.
The couple even received a customized Cubs jersey with “Marry Me” on the back and Rizzo’s own number, 44.

Rizzo has been batting .279/.419/.620 (172 OPS+) for the Cubs.
Rizzo and the Cubs defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-2 on Saturday, but then lost to the Pirates 2-1 on Sunday. Both games were at Wrigley Field in Chicago. He hit a three-run homer in Saturday’s victory.
As WeAreFanatics.com noted, Leslie was under the impression that the surprise was for her daughter, so it all went off without a hitch.
