It’s March and that means that basketball analyst Charles Barkley is living his best life. He’s commenting on games that he doesn’t have a clue about. At halftime of the Yale versus LSU game, he was quick to praise the Tigers roster and play.
Barkley said “No team has as much talent top to bottom.” He added, “This is the most talented team arguably in the country.”
LSU, seeded no. 3, built up a 45-29 lead going into the second half against no. 14 Yale when Barkley decided to comment. LSU’s head coach, Will Wade, is out on an indefinite suspension after being caught by a federal wiretap talking with a basketball middleman about making a “strong-ass” offer to a recruit. However, a no. 3 seed eliminates a no. 14 seed in 84.6% of their NCAA tournament matchups. Predictably, LSU went on to a 79-74 win as Tremont Waters scored 15 points and dished out seven assists.

LSU will play Maryland in the second round after they beat Belmont 79-77.
While Barkley makes a lot of newsworthy remarks, what makes this one so interesting is that the Auburn University product fights with his TNT co-host Shaquille O’Neal almost daily. Shaq is an LSU alumni. Fans were quick to take to social media about Barkley doing all day analysis.
