Do you remember when Odell Beckham Jr. set the world record for most one-handed catches in one-minute? Way back in January, he caught 33 passes from Drew Brees in 60 seconds. Well since then, it seems like athletes have continuously come out of the woodwork to topple it, with Iowa’s Tevaun Smith topping the feat with 41 on the very next day.
And now Andy Fantuz of the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats just uploaded a video to YouTube, showing him destroy the previous records. He caught a whooping 50 passes in one minute, placing him on top of the leaderboard.
Obviously, this is an amazing feat and it is crazy that he can catch simultaneously with two hands, but I still think Beckham can top this record in the same circumstance. First off, he has two QBs — Grey Cup winners Darian Durant and Bo Levi Mitchell — throwing to him, which cuts down on wasted time, and there also are a few questionable catches, where he tosses the ball before actually maintaining possession.
