Former World Champion Boxer Deontay Wilder is in the news after being accused by his ex-fiancée, Telli Swift, of repeatedly beating her son over multiple years, resulting in Wilder being sued by her son, Kerron Swift.
Wilder’s attorney, Paul Patterson, is dismissing the accusations and saying the claims are “suspicious.”
“This is obviously an attempt to smear the good name of Deontay Wilder in pursuit of personal gain. Deontay Wilder is known as a loving and caring father who has never physically disciplined any child of his own or anyone else.”
Kerron is claiming that Wilder brutally attacked him while he was living with the boxer as a child. Kerron alleges that the abuse took place around 2016, all the way through 2024.

He claims that during one incident, when he was 13, he was slapped so hard by Wilder that his head banged on the interior of a car so hard that it left him dazed.
Another incident in 2019 claims that Wilder whipped him with a belt, causing visible bruises across Kerron’s body.
The worst allegation happened in 2022 when Kerron was 16, and he claims that Wilder grabbed him by his throat, lifting him off his feet, slamming him against a wall, and throwing him like a “ragdoll.” Kerron said that he feared for his life during this altercation.
Kerron is suing Wilder for a plethora of claims that include battery, assault, emotional distress, and false imprisonment, along with claiming that he suffered emotional trauma and physical injuries.
Wilder is currently preparing for a fight in London against Derek Chisora on Saturday.
