Shad Gaspard
On Tuesday, WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard had gone missing after being swept out to sea while swimming at Venice Beach in California. On Wednesday morning, Gaspard’s body was found and he was pronounced dead, according to police.
At around 1:25 a.m., a person at the beach found Gaspard’s body near the shore, which was later identified as Gaspard by the coroner’s office, according to the LAPD.
On Sunday, Gaspard was swimming in the ocean with his 10-year old son when they were swept about 50 yards off the shore. A lifeguard saw that a wave had crashed over the two. According to the lifeguard, when he went to go save Gaspard and his son, Gaspard told him to save his son in his last words.
Shad Gaspard was 39-years old and is survived by his wife and son.
