Fresh off a 13-4 record and an AFC Championship game appearance, the Baltimore Ravens have lofty expectations coming into 2024-2025. For starters, they’re expected to be Super Bowl contenders, as they have +950 odds to make the big game per FanDuel Sportsbook. Baltimore possesses the NFL’s fourth-toughest schedule, and they were projected to finish with 11 wins.
This offseason saw Baltimore sign ex-Titans running back Derrick Henry on a two-year contract. Henry is in the upper tier of running backs as he leads the league in most rushing categories – since 2017, Henry has amassed 9,012 rushing yards and scored 85 rushing touchdowns, living up to his nickname, “King Henry.”
Henry’s signing boosts an already lethal offense as Lamar Jackson is an improviser, and Zay Flowers is a solid first receiver. However, the Ravens lost Odell Beckham Jr. to the Miami Dolphins, and Patrick Queen left for the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jadeveon Clowney also left the squad and joined the Carolina Panthers. Running backs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins departed Baltimore, both signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.

With these critical losses in free agency, pressure will be added on Lamar and King Henry to lead a run-first offense, and Flowers would need to step up to the occasion to provide a cushion for the passing attack. Baltimore locked up defensive end Justin Madubuike to a four-year deal worth $98 million.
The Ravens selected Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins late in the first round to bolster depth in their secondary. Other additions include UNC’s Tez Walker and Iowa Hawkeye T.J. Tampa.
Notable matchups on Baltimore’s schedule include:
The AFC North had each team finish above .500 last season, proving that the AFC North is anyone’s division coming into 2024 – for the Ravens to have success, they need to take advantage of more accessible games on their schedule, such as the Commanders, Broncos and Giants while stealing wins from tougher opponents including the Chiefs, Cowboys, Eagles and Texans, in addition to defeating division rivals. The first five weeks will be pivotal to the season since the Ravens will be facing three playoff teams from last year, one of them being defending Super Bowl champions and facing a Bengals squad with quarterback Joe Burrow back in action.
Baltimore’s road to the playoffs will not be easy, as key losses on both sides of the ball will make or break their campaign.
