The Detroit Lions released former cornerback Terrion Arnold following his arrest on serious felony charges.
Arnold, who played cornerback for the Detroit Lions and was sidelined for most of the season, is now facing serious legal trouble. The 23-year-old is charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery stemming from an alleged incident in February in the Tampa area.

Prosecutors allege Arnold orchestrated a plan in which three men were lured to an apartment, assaulted and robbed of nearly $200,000 worth of property from an Airbnb Arnold had rented just days earlier. If convicted on all charges, Arnold could face life in prison under Florida law.
Arnold was granted bond by the judge in his criminal case. Detroit released him shortly after. Arnold was drafted 24th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
Bond was set at $1 million. The court ordered Arnold to surrender his passport, avoid contact with co-defendants and victims, and comply with additional conditions while awaiting trial.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban sent a letter to the court vouching for Arnold’s character, describing him as a great person and a key part of the Alabama team during his time there.
Arnold’s release leaves a significant hole in the Lions’ secondary just weeks before training camp begins.
