Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark found herself at the center of attention after another viral moment this week, after a heated sideline exchange with head coach Stephanie White during the Indiana Fever’s loss to the Portland Fire.
The Fever have been off to a rough start. This incident occurred during a Fever loss to the 84 on Saturday night and quickly became one of the most discussed moments in the WNBA. The cameras captured white in Clark engaged in an animated discussion during a timeout with a lot of tension and speculation within the organization.
Clark, who struggled through the game, finished with six points, one of seven shooting, before filing out. Clark appeared to be frustrated after being removed from the game and was visibly emotional on the bench as the Fever fell to four and four on the year.
Fans online is quick to react, with some questioning the relationship between the two. However, both quickly push back against those claims following the game.
Clark called many of the online interpretations blatantly wrong. She defended White and said they are just too competitive women, trying to win big basketball games.
Despite her recent struggles, Clark remains one of the top players in the league. She continues to be a major draw throughout the country.
